South-Central GSA and AEG-TX Meeting, April 1-2, 2005
The combined South-Central Sectional Meeting of the Geological Society of America and Texas Section meeting of the Association of Engineering Geologists will be held April 1-2, 2005 at Trinity University in San Antonio. On behalf of the local organizing committee, I invite your program and/or society to participate in this meeting as an exhibitor and/or sponsor.
A total of 125 papers (including ~20 with undergraduate students as senior authors) will be presented. We expect ~250 registrants during this two-day conference.
Exhibit space will be open Friday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 pm., and on Saturday, April 2, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Set-up time will be available during the afternoon of Thursday, March 31. Each exhibitor will be provided a six-foot draped table and two chairs (if you need additional space, please contact me). Exhibits will be located in the Fiesta Room of the Coates University Center, which will be secured when the exhibits are closed. This location will also be the site of the Registration Desk, GSA Bookstore, and poster sessions. An exhibit table will cost $100; academic programs and/or professional societies/clubs will be charged $75. All exhibitors must also register for the meeting, either on-site or on-line (see meeting web site). Exhibit space is limited, so please contact me at your earliest convenience if you are interested, and no later than March 11, 2005.
Sponsorships: As you might expect, there is no limit on the amount that can be contributed. Contributions will be used to cover the registration costs of students who attend and work at the meeting as assistants and to defray the overall expenses of running the meeting. Proceeds from the meeting will be used by the South-Central Section to support undergraduate and graduate research, and to provide travel support for students presenting research at GSA meetings. All contributors will be acknowledged on an insert within the program volume. If you wish to make a donation, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
